I have a Bamboo indoor plant that we have had for a few years. The plant is doing very well. My question is how to you trim one of these plants. The plant is starting to get very tall. It is planted in a vase filled with water only.

If you're growing your bamboo in water, I suspect it is a plant called Lucky Bamboo. If so, you can shorten the length of the stalk by cutting it down with a sharp knife and placing the cut part in a container of water. New sprouts will grow from the cut stalks and soon you'll have another plant. Be sure to keep the leaves out of water since the leaves will rot if left in water.
