Sago palms can develop problems with mealybugs and with scale insects. Either can destroy a plant and both should be controlled as soon as possible. The University of Florida cooperative extension recommends spraying the plant with insecticidal soap every 3-4 days for a period of about 2 weeks. I hope this does the trick for you!
