| Perennial ryegrass is an excellent choice for overseeding bermuda. It's a cool season grass and will perform nicely while your bermuda is dormant, then go dormant when the weather gets hot. The combination will give you a green lawn throughout most of the growing season, from spring until fall. You can spread a "starter fertilizer" on your lawn before or after seeding and it will give the new grass just the right amount of nitrogen to help it green up quickly.
