Each of the flowering stems will continue to produce new flowers for 3-4 weeks. When no new flowers appear and the stem looks scraggly, pinch or cut it off close to the top of the plant. New stems will appear throughout the summer. If the plant itself begins to look a little tired and in need of rejuevenation you can trim it back by a few inches to promote healthy new growth. Hope this answers your question.
