Plant Parts as Food |

We discussed in Exploring the Garden: Plant Growth and
Diversity some of the different plant parts we eat. Remember that celery is the petiole
and leaves, Brussels sprouts the axillary buds, etc.In
this section well take a more systematic approach to the foods we eat. Well
look a little more closely at the different plant parts we use as food, the role of these
parts in the plant, and what type of nutrition they provide to us.
