I HAD A PEEK!! VERY PLEASED , but it ain't over until.......... Winter is officially gone!

It was about 4C here today. Had to take the garbage down, and bring in five wheelbarrow loads of firewood to the basement. I just had to take a peek! First, I carefully opened the unheated greenhouse door and took a peek! All my planted "cutting roses" looked great! from a distance. The 5 gallon pails of last year's Drag & Drop deck roses, looked great. Think the three tubs of Oriental Lilies are alright also, but to soon to tell! I checked my "Pink Rose" bed, all "live" canes , pink lilies starting to push through in front of them, then my strawberries. Too soon to tell if the strawberries are alive-all everbearing, fruit right up until frost. Then in the backyard, I checked the "Red Rose Bed" up against the house! All Ht's and Ht. Climbers. Saw green everywhere. Then across the path to the second "red rose bed". All the "Red Carpet Roses" looking great. Also red Ht's and Red Climbers at the back of this bed, all showing green!! In the midst of this bed is a 3-year-old Peachtree. Fruit buds everywhere, as there are on the three Japanese plum trees and the one Nectarine! Wow! I am very excited now!! Should I take my "winnings" and run? No, couldn't help it, I had to check further. Backyard, high-bush blueberries look great, buds on the four Rhodos I added last year. Two new Japanese peonies showing buds! Too soon to check grape vines (many). Oh I forgot the "Yellow Rose Bed". Everything looks great there, the Climbers, the Ht's (might be one Ht deceased) and the yellow "Carpet" roses and one yellow "knock out"! What did I forget? Oh yes, the three "Appleblossom" Carpet roses, by the side entrance-all "alive". Sorry if I am chatting on here ad infinitum, but this is my first time outside this Winter! Note: Worried about the front lawn: Four Japanese plum trees, one, the biggest producer last year, yellow, had some black knot which I cut out last Fall, and almost got a concussion doing same. It is covered with moss. Did not venture out to check it! Pleased with my first Peek!
