For the past month, I really haven't had much gardening time outside since the weather is changing. So I decided to draw pictures of Flowers. I have a lot I kept from the past years and it seems that I am getting better and better every time I draw one. I might find this more amusing when the days get shorter and colder and have nothing to do. I usually start sewing Christmas gifts at this time. But I think my Christmas gifts for my family and friends will be my flower pictures I draw.
I want to draw my flower pictures on notebooks and other useful items. I might even sell them when I am older or use them as gifts for people.
I drew this one yesterday on the back of a notebook and finished it out today with oil pastels.
Then topped it with a laminated surface that sticks to the drawing so the pastel colors won't smear.
Last, I used a pen and added the final outlines and details.
(The crappy quality of my computer camera doesn't make the iris look that good.
But I think it looks FANTASTIC in person.)
Hello, everyone. I decided to create a competition blog to see who has the best iris pictures. Because I love looking @ other people's iris pictures and seeing the beauty in them. I hope that you see the beauty in other people's iris pics. too. (keep this child friendly.) And enjoy this competition. I will be looking for winners in a few days. This competition expires by Friday of this week (Sept. 15) @ 3:30 pm Have fun!
I will first start off with my iris picture.
(I will not be a winner of this competition. Even though I
created this, it is still not right. It's like cheating.)
