Bad Bunny Talk. Tree damage and Tree Wound paste? Upper Midwest Gardening.

Hurray!

Hi! Hoping to meet other Midwest gardeners. I live in SE South Dakota. My USDA zone is 4b or 5a depending on which map you look at. My microclimate ranges from 4-6. My soil is a loamy clay, used to be old farmland, and prairie before that. I am a suburban gardener, which present some challenges, all it's own. Basically neighbors and city ordinances. No deer, no coyotes, no foxes to worry about but holy cow the BUNNIES are vicious!

I spent this afternoon applying Tanglewood Tree Wound salve to five different trees. I hope it cures before the next system, but if it discourages further damage, it'll be time well spend. At least I learned to apply it. A couple of trees I wrapped further after applying the wound paste.

Anyone have any experience with repairing bunny damage? I did wrap the trees in the fall, about 3' up. Unfortunately two back to back snow storms rose the level of snow to 3-4' up the trees, giving access to the critters.

Bunnies... Grumbling

CElisabeth
