Welcome to NGA and to the forum!

Looks like a moth of some sort, but location would help immensely with species identification. In which part of the world do you live?

I was thinking something in the bee/wasp group, which is huge and variable. I can't see enough good details.
One individual insect inside a house is probably accidental and not a cause for alarm.

Plant it and they will come.

Bad photo, can't tell what's going on. Is the black/grey triangular shape part of the bug (wing?) or a chip in the plaster? If it's still around, get closer and take a better picture.
