Thread OP

Hi

I was lucky enough to be given a large single-leaf cutting of a variegated monstera, not rooted (well, it had one air root). I popped it in spaghnum moss and after two weeks there was nothing at all and the leaf was curling and wilting. So I tried to see if putting it in water would bring it back to life. It didn't. The leaf is still curled and then rot set in.

I have cut the rot off and put in back in sphagnum moss.

Do you think I should cut off the leaf, so it has more energy - thereby reducing it to a wet stick?

And should I try rooting powder? I'd hate to lose this, so any help is appreciated.
