There ought to be a thread for Regal Pelargoniums (P. x domesticum), so let's start one.
When I was young in the PNW they were called "Martha Washingtons" for some reason. They were carefully greenhoused over the winters; it made them a little more special in my mind's eye.
They grow really well here in the SF Bay Area even at the beach, and even in sand. They are perennial and occasionally get pretty tall - one below is over 6 ft. (183 cm.).
Close by there is a great nursery that specializes in the family and it is called Geraniaceae; they offer Regals (but I don't think they are the focus). Otherwise, it seems a bit hard to find them in ordinary nurseries.
Here people swap cuttings over the garden fence and one sees little clusters of one kind in an area, and different kinds a few streets away. No one seems to know their real variety names. I grabbed a couple once at my nursery that I saw were unusual, but I still don't know their proper cv. names.
It is the top of the season for them now, so here are some. (Please add your thoughts on the names and/or photos of your own)

I spent some time looking at the Geraniaceae website and now I wonder if #5 might be what Robin's nursery calls 'Nona Lola'.

There seem to be so many similar looking ones, I would think it would be hard to ID unless there is something very distinctive. I used to buy from Robin every year when she came to the SF Landscape show.
Really like that Two-tone Pink 5, I have never seen one like that! Lovey dubby
I have found a few pretty ones in our local nurseries here.

Oohhh, thank you! And I do think you are on to something, it does indeed look like Nona Lola! "Found in many old gardens in California".
I haven't looked at Robin's website in a while, so much eye candy, many are tempting me!

That seems super similar; the color of the "eye" spots is not exactly the same but that could be conditional.
It's a showy big flower in any case.
