I know a few of ya'll have this, I looked at your great pics in the database. But it's never been offered here in Gainesville before. I was at Home Depot getting a new charcoal chimney for the grill and saw these. So I scored one. Its pretty fabulous IMO

. Going to look great as a containerized plant in the cottage garden this summer.

Nice find at HD. I have that one, it is in the ground about four years now, had it in a pot before. I like the larger leaves of this one, mine doesn't get much direct sun, so the colors are more muted, it has more pink than red color tones. By the way, the freezing temps we had two winters ago didn't faze it, of course it is under tree canopy.

I just saw the newest trend for expensive indoor houseplants. I should have taken a photo LOL. But I didn't. One of the lines of the trendy tropical houseplant places has put tiny (4" tall single stem) crotons, including, I believe, Magnificent although none of them are labeled....and stuck them in a cheap decorative no drainage cache pot for $17.
If you walk outside to Outdoor Garden, you can get a 3 gallon well grown Croton Magnificent for $16.

Those no drainage pots really jack the price up. I like when they stick those stems in cheap little plastic pots which is how I got my beautiful Epipremnum aureum Manjula and a few of my Crotons years ago. Of course the price was less than 4 dollars back then. I really don't see a croton doing well as a house plant for long, maybe a sunny. bathroom. I was in a Walmart garden center and they had some Thai constellation monstera plants for $29 something in those pots. Not bad sized, think 6".

Those have been all the rage. Apparently there are 3 sized...$29.99, $69.99 and $150
