I'm happy to think my suggestion(s) might help other gardeners, so thank you in turn. There are just so many times (and ways) that our garden plans just don't seem to line up with reality, try though we may to get plants into the ground.
I'm sure I am like many of you when I say that I value my new garden treasures for far more than just the money it costs to bring them home, and the last thing I want is for a new plant to die before I can even get it planted. - At least by sinking the pots into the ground (or compost pile) or some sort of 'holding' area, I feel as though I have provided them the protection they need while I give myself more time to find the right spot in the gardens. So glad this idea will help you in your garden(s) as well!
