Bonehead recommended Burnt Ridge Nursery and wrote: Family owned farm in business since 1980. Mail order, specializing in unusual and disease resistant fruiting trees, vines, and shrubs. Many Northwest native plants/trees as well. I had been searching local nurseries in vain for a white mulberry tree and finally resorted to an online search (mail order is not my preference for plants). This nursery popped up and had several different mulberries of all colors. I emailed them explaining my intended use (inside my chicken yard as forage for the birds) and asked for their recommendation. I received a quick and informative reply, placed an order, and received the tree within days. The tree was packed very securely and had a good foot of healthy roots in soil, not a large specimen, but with several nice healthy leaves. Very reasonably priced for both the tree and the shipping. Has only been in-ground for a couple weeks, if I remember I will update how it does over the summer. |
