Our Japanese Snowbell is about 17 feet and has always been healthy and beautiful. This summer we have been having intense heat. A few weeks ago, it actually reached about 107 degrees in our area. The last few weeks in August the leaves started turning yellow with brown spots and falling to ground. I water the tree when in nineties and up every day, so the tree shouldn't have any water issues, unless maybe I'm watering too much? Any advice? |
Trees will naturally shed their leaves when they are suffering from any stress, e.g. excess heat, over/underwatering. It's their way of coping with extreme conditions. Hopefully your Japanese Snowbell will recover and be fine next year. Feed it in Spring with a 7:7:7 slow release fertiliser to help it get back 'on it's feet' |
