April 4, 2015
I have not sown my poppy seeds early enough in past years and / or the seeds never sprouted probably due to birds eating them or them washing away. So this year I am determined to see some pretty poppy blooms and sowed them in my veggie garden in a raised bed that has sprinklers and drip line. I mixed them with some sand to sow, then covered them with burlap and weighed it down with some paver stones.
Today is April 9, 2015 and we had a coating of snow last night which I have read helps poppies to sprout later on. It looks like spring will be coming up poppies. :)
This is whats been blooming in my garden this past week.
