texasgreenthumb's blog: The Ultimate Backyard

Posted on Jan 26, 2023 9:22 AM

My family and I moved into our new house in the summer of 2022. We used the rest of that year to unpack (still working on that) and organize the house. This Spring and Summer, it's time to tackle the yard! The front lawn has some landscaping, and the entire house is set up with an in-ground sprinkler system, so we have a good head start. Here are the goals for our yard:
1) To have a space that is fun and safe for our children to play in
2) To have a space that is peaceful enough for the adults to relax in
3) To have a space that is beautiful enough for us to entertain our friends and family in
4) To plant several vegetables and herbs in containers that our family can use in the kitchen

I am going to start and maintain this blog as a way to hold myself accountable for working in the yard. I'd welcome you to come on this journey with me and watch as we all grow, together! I will post pictures of the "before" in the yard this weekend so we can all watch the progress.

-Happy gardening!

Jeff
