Heuchera 'Sunspot'

This spring brighten up landscape with new, bright-colored foliage versions of two popular spring-flowering perennials.

Heuchera 'Sunspot' is a 16-inch-tall plant that features stalks of vivid pink flowers. The show-stopper, however, is the leaves. The electric-yellow leaves with burgundy red veins grab the attention of any gardener passing by. Although the leaf color fades during midsummer, in spring it provides a wake-up call for any sleepy perennial bed. 'Sunspot' grows equally well in full sun and part-shade.

Brunnera 'Jack Frost'

To brighten a shady border, try growing the new Brunnera 'Jack Frost'. The frosted, heart-shaped leaves with green veins provide a silvery backdrop to the forget-me-not blue flowers that emerge in spring. This shade lover grows to 10 inches tall and wide. It was a winner of the prestigious Plantarium "Best New Plant Award" in 2001.
