I recently purchased some calla lilies and planted them in my garden. Now the leaves are turning yellow. Is this normal?

It's not normal but it is to be expected. Many plants go through a stressful adjustment period when they are transplanted and that's probably what's happening with your calla lilies. As soon as the roots establish, your plants should perk up and begin to grow for you. When new growth appears you can cut off any dead or dying foliage. Best wishes with your calla lilies!
