Your Calathea is native to tropical America or Africa, so is an indoor or greenhouse plant. They have ornamental leaves, beautifully marked in various shades of green, white, and pink. Calathea makoyana will grow 2-4 feet high, and will need porous potting soil with excellent drainage, average household temperatures and bright light for rich leaf color. Mist the leaves every few days to help increase humidity in the immediate area.
