Border begonias don't need to be deadheaded. They are considered self-cleaning which means the flowers will drop off all by themselves. Angel wing or other larger begonias should be deadheaded. Simply snap the spent flower off the stem. Clematis do not need to be deadheaded but you can pinch off the dead flower if you find it unattractive. Toadlily can be deadheaded by snipping off the dead flowers and their stem.
