Garbanzo beans (Cicer arietinum) are cool-season crops and are grown just like peas. Sow seeds about 1" deep and 4" apart in loose, well-amended soils early in the spring. Seeds will sprout in 7-14 days and crops should be ready to harvest in 100 days. Provide full sunshine and water deeply each week during the growing season. When pods are dry at the end of the season, harvest and shell your garbanzo's.

Hope your harvest is bountiful!
