| I have a weigela that I would like to transplant, now it is in partial sun and is looking pretty sad. I would like to move to a full sun area on the northeast corner of the house. Can I do this now in the fall and will it help the plant to bloom better? I have sandy soil. Thanks for your help. |
| Weigela will grow in full sun to partial afternoon shade. They bloom on new wood that sprouts from old branches so you can encourage an abundance of flowers by cutting back the branches that have flowered, and by pruning the old wood down by one-half each year. You can prune it back now and transplant. Weigela isn't fussy about soil but appreciates regular watering during the growing season. |
