The Garden Through The Year
The Garden Through the Year (Timber Press, 2002, $49.95) by Graham Stuart Thomas, a 93-year-old, world renowned British horticulturist, may seem to be of little use here. But many of the plants mentioned will do nicely in central Florida (zone 9) so the book is worth a careful look. He takes us through his garden and talks about the best plants he has come across in 80 years of gardening. I think the book is a classic and is well worth purchasing. It contains 328 pages with 307 photos and 66 black and white drawings.
