Ornamental Grass Books for All Ranges
If money is no object and grasses are your obsession, there's no better book than The Color Encyclopedia of Ornamental Grasses, by Rick Darke (Timber Press, 1999; $50). A CD-ROM version is also available.

A less expensive, but still quite helpful alternative is Better Homes and Gardens Step-by-Step Ornamental Grasses, by Peter Loewer (Meredith Books, 1995; $13). Either of these two books will get you hooked on grasses if you're not already.

Web Finds

Grasses and More Grasses
With hundreds of ornamental grasses available, it pays to do a little research before buying. There's no better place than the Ornamental Grass Link Web page maintained by the Hosta & Ornamental Grass Enthusiasts WebRing at www.hostas.com/rings/links-grasses.html. This link lists other sites for university and extension fact sheets, articles, and personal pages dedicated to ornamental grasses.
