Clever Gardening Technique

Powdery Mildew Control
Here's a homemade remedy to reduce the spread of powdery mildew on roses. Combine 1 TBSP of baking soda and 2.5 TBSP of lightweight horticultural oil (such as Sunspray) with 1 gallon water. Start spraying plants with this mixture at the first signs of the disease. Spray on flower buds and both sides of the leaves. Reapply after a heavy rain.
