Favorite or New Plant

'Lil' Kim' Rose of Sharon
Rose of Sharon may be an old-fashioned plant, but no one can deny that it is reliable and easy to grow, plus it blooms for months from summer into fall. New hybrids make it an even better choice for the garden. A recent rose of Sharon offering is a dwarf form that grows only 3 to 4 feet tall. Called 'Lil' Kim', it was developed by Dr. K. K. Shim, a South Korean horticulture professor who studied at the University of Illinois. 'Lil' Kim' bears full-sized white flowers with a red eye. As a bonus, the flowers last three days instead of one.
