The Philadelphia International Flower Show
This year's 184th Philadelphia International Flower Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center opens on Saturday, March 2, a day earlier than in the past, and runs until March 10. This year's theme,"Brilliant," pays tribute to centuries of influential British culture, culminating in the urbane style of 21st-century London. Among the show's exciting new features are the colorful international New Plant Showcase of recently developed flower and plant varieties, new Make & Take workshops for visitors to craft and take home their own fashionable "fascinators" -- stylish hats popularized at the royal weddings, and especially for guys, The Backyard, a room devoted to outdoor living.
