Fifty Shades of Kale
There are countless previews available for Fifty Shades of Kale: Fifty Fresh and Satisfying Recipes That Are Bound to Please by Jennifer Iserloh and Drew Ramsey (HarperWave , to be released in June 2013), and reading any of them will tempt you into pre-ordering as I have. The writing is witty and fun, and absolutely enchanting. It's written as a parody, but along with the humor, it's chock full of delicious ways to use kale. I can hardly wait!

Clever Gardening Technique

Make Creative Plant Labels
While you have time indoors, make garden markers. Write the garden plant names on flat stones with paint or indelible marker and then spray with polyurethane. Or use terra cotta pot shards or sticks with a flat side scraped by a carrot peeler or sharp knife. Use your imagination, but be sure to spray with polyurethane to make the label weatherproof.
