Seedling Images
Are you wondering what that newly germinated seed is because the label was lost? How about a plant emerging in the garden that could be a weed or a flower? The Seed Site is an online resource with 800 seedling photos grouped by the type of cotyledons (seed leaves) or type of plant leaves you are seeing on the new seedling. Bookmark this one, you'll need it later!

Clever Gardening Technique

Recharge Silica Gel Packets for Seed Storage
Those silica gel packets that you get with electronics, some prescriptions, or a new pair of shoes absorb moisture over time and reach their saturation point. Put them in an oven, set the temp to 250 degrees and leave them for 5 hours to drive off the excess moisture. Then store them in an airtight container. Place one in a jar of seeds with a tight lid and the packet will absorb any excess moisture, extending the life of your seeds.
