Clever Gardening Technique

Encourage Beneficial Insects
Be sure to have zinnias, sweet alyssum, catmints, yarrows, daisies, dill, fennel, and other prolific blooming flowers and herbs in the garden to attract the good bugs. Insect predators such as ladybird beetles, lacewings, syrphid flies, and parasitic wasps help to control harmful insects. The bad bugs including aphids, caterpillars and woodborers can be kept at bay by having these beneficials in your garden.
