Clever Gardening Technique

Understand Full Sun
When reading plant labels or descriptions that recommend %%%full sun%%% exposure, take into account the plant%%%s native habitat, as well as where it was grown for sale. Full sun in the low desert is often too intense for non-native plants. Also, plants grown in nurseries in other states often need a period of acclimation to adjust. Monitor their water needs carefully, and perhaps cover them with a temporary shade cloth to prevent sunburn.
