Clever Gardening Technique

Save Those Succulents
As soon as a succulent such as a hen-and-chicks begins to put out a flower stalk, pull off a few leaves to propagate new plants. The plants that are blooming will begin to deteriorate as soon as the blossoms begin to fade. Simply placing a few leaves in a coarse potting mix will assure that you have new plants to fill your pot when the old plants fade away.
