Tool or Gardening Product

Camera Phone
A camera phone as a gardening tool? You bet! Camera phones and digital cameras are becoming quite commonplace nowadays. When you are out in the garden, snap shots of varieties, pests, diseases or weeds you want to identify. They can be easily e-mailed to your local Extension Office, a gardening guru, or your own e-mail for reference later. The phone or digital camera also dates the time when you took the photo for later reference. When did those harlequin bugs show up last year? What day did I start harvesting corn? Which zinnia was more resistant to leaf diseases?

Clever Gardening Technique

Mail Box Record Storage
Put an old mailbox in your garden as a place to store your garden journal, gloves, plant labels, or other items you want to keep close at hand. With your records right there in the garden you will be more likely to take notes on a regular basis and have a more complete recollection of your gardening observations.
