Clever Gardening Technique

Safe Snow Removal
Structurally sound trees and evergreens are generally equipped to deal with snow accumulation, and it will naturally shed or melt from the branches. But weak-wooded trees may be more prone to damage. Newly fallen snow can be gently swept from drooping branches using gentle upward strokes with a broom or rake to loosen the snow. Never shake heavy snow or ice off, as this typically will break more branches than it saves.
