Clever Gardening Technique

Track Your Bloom Seasons
Make a master list of plants in your yard and note when they bloom or offer other seasonal interest, such as berries or seedpods. A table format with 12 months across the top and plants listed down the side works well. Color in the squares with the same shade as the flowers to see at a glance what colors are showcased in your yard seasonally. When adding more plants to your landscape, choose something that fills in any gaps in color, so that there are always flowers for pollinators and visual interest for humans.
