Web Finds

North American Lily Society
If you love lilies like I love lilies, North American Lily Society is a great place to go to see what's out there. The website has a great image gallery, so you can see everything from martagons to orienpets (these words really do mean something to lily-lovers!). There is great cultural information as well as sources for purchasing lilies and information about how to breed your own.

Tool or Gardening Product

Oxo Garden Knife
This has become my favorite tool of all time. I use it for simply everything. It's made of stainless steel with a soft grip handle. The blade has one serrated side which will cut twine and saw off roots. The other side is a regular blade for cutting whatever you need to cut. It is incredibly sturdy and I've used it for digging dandelions and thistles, for edging beds, for digging holes for planting annuals, and for making furrows for seed planting. It costs about $25 and will absolutely replace several other tools. Also, it comes with a great heavy-duty nylon sheath to attach to your belt.
