Bees Online
Al Needham offers a good e-book called All About Honey Bees along with other information for the novice beekeeper at his Bees Online Web site. His educational site is a beehive (pun intended) to teach you everything from what to do about a sting to the spread of the African bee. There are links to sites and books about honey and bee venom therapy, great pictures of bees and even bee crossword puzzles. It's a great place to start for bee smarts.

Books

Beekeeping
Not new, except as a Kindlebook, Beekeeping for Dummies, by Howland Blackiston, can help you decide if this hobby is for you. Known as an authority on every aspect from bee anatomy to caring for the hive and harvesting honey. Published in 2002 by For Dummies, the book is still widely available in both new and used versions. Whether you are seriously interested or simply want to know more about bees, you want this book.
