Citrus and Fruit Clinic
Held two consecutive weekends at two locations, this event features speakers from the University of Arizona as well as local experts. Half-hour presentations cover pest managment, irrigation, pruning, fertilization, disease managment, and deciduous fruit varieties. There's also a taste-testing of numerous citrus varieties. On January 26 the event will be at Greenfield Citrus Nursery, 2558 E. Lehi Road, Mesa, AZ. The February 2 event will be at the Citrus Agricultural Center in Wadell, AZ. Both from 8:45 am to noon, rain or shine. Admission is $5 in advance; $8 at the door. Tickets available at Maricopa County Cooperative Extension, 4341 E. Broadway Road, Phoenix.
