Mum Show and Sale
Plan on attending the Mum Show and Sale on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, from 9am to 5pm at Descanso Gardens. Giant, button, exotic, and other kinds of chrysanthemums highlight this time of year. The show is presented by the Glendale Chrysanthemum Society, and is free with garden admission. Plastic or Glass Cloches?
There is a difference between glass and plastic for greenhouses or cloches. Plastic transmits the full spectrum of light, whereas glass filters out the long ultra-violet rays that are a beneficial portion of sunlight.
