Favorite or New Plant

Molineux, David Austin English Rose
It's only been weeks since the large cardboard box of bare-root plants arrived from David Austin Roses, but already I'm cutting beautiful and fragrant English roses for the small crystal bowl on my dressing table. The progenitor of this treasure is Molineux, a shrub of rich yellow blooms deepened with a hint of apricot. Flowers, in a lovely rosette shape comprised of more than 100 petals, fill the house with classic tea rose fragrance spiced with a musky background. Molineux is not only exceptionally lovely, but specifically recommended for the hot and humid climate of the Middle South. To learn more about David Austin Roses and to view the current offering of shrubs, visit the Web site at www.davidaustinroses.com.
