What is that Rose?
These two web sites are great references for finding the names of roses, learning more about their particular characteristics and history, and finding sources of the plants. HelpMeFind and FindMyRoses are worth checking out!

Clever Gardening Technique

Slanted Livestock Panel Trellis
Livestock panels make a great trellis. These panels are available from farm supply stores at a reasonable cost and they last forever. They come in 16- foot lengths so I cut mine into more manageable sizes with a bolt cutter. They are rigid and can be leaned against a wall or post to create an instant trellis. Plant tomatoes beneath a leaning panel and you can easily train the stems up through the panel forming a wall of foliage. Storage when you are not using them is much easier than tomato cages since the panels are flat.
