National Ag Library
The National Ag Library is is a fascinating Web site for gardeners. The link provided shows their collection of old seed catalogue covers. While you're there check out the many other offerings in their Browse and you'll find extensive image collections of insects and plants, a botanical gardens and arboreta section, and MUCH more!

Tool or Gardening Product

Diamond Hoe
There are many great types of gardening hoes on the market, each with its own special uses. I like the diamond hoe, named after its diamond shape with two long slender points out to the left and right sides. All 4 edges are sharp so it can be used both pushing and pulling. The angle of the blade and long handle makes it easy to slice just below the soil surface to avoid bringing weed seeds up from deep in the soil while standing upright to avoid back strain.
