Master Gardener
It takes time, and it takes training. You'll learn new things, sweat a little or a lot, and give back to your community. This description paints a picture of Master Gardeners, but it leaves out the best part: you will meet amazing people from all walks of life. Consult your local MGs, or the Cooperative Extension Service in your area -- training is starting all over the regions. For example, University of Florida/Wakulla County begins its course on February 18. Find out more about registration and requirements (register through February 16) at http://wakulla.ifas.ufl.edu. Click on the Master Gardener button, and enter the world of giving gardeners.
