Global Climate Change and Plant Conservation
In this time of great concern about global climate change, it's helpful to have the scientists' points of view to help us learn. Kayri Havens, senior scientist of plant science and conservation, will speak about the effects of climate change on plants and ecosystems. She will also discuss ways to manage these conservation challenges. This free public lecture will be held at the Chicago Botanic Garden on Sunday, November 2 at 1:30. Oh, it has those, of course, but Suzy Bales gives a wealth of ideas to actually take out into your own garden. She not only gives information and advice about what to plant, but she has a chapter devoted to decorating your home from your garden. You'll want to get out and plant and clip.
