Pollinator Partnership
Whether you are a gardener, a farmer, a resource manager, an educator, or simply an interested consumer, the Pollinator Partnership provides news, resources, programs, and an extensive digital library to support you in helping pollinators. From small daily actions to larger organized activities, you can get involved in many ways. The Pollinator Partnership works to protect the health of managed and native pollinating animals vital to our North American ecosystems and agriculture. One of their projects is the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC), a collaboration of over 120 organizations and individuals that promotes and implements a continent-wide Action Plan to encourage activities to protect the numbers and health of all pollinating creatures.

Rhimax Durable Felt Paper
Rather than use synthetic landscape fabric under containers this summer, I laid a swath of Rhimax to keep weeds at bay. The pots are thriving; no weeds poked through this brown, thick, durable paper made from 100-percent post-consumer content. It's touted as biodegradable and tillable into the soil at season's end. It's easy to cut with a utility knife. With quite a bit left on the roll, I'll be using some to suppress grass on a garden path, until we decide on a long-term material such as stone or gravel.
