Rain Lilies
When summer rains bring relief to the parched landscape and roadsides, rain lilies (Zephyranthes) pop up with attractive white to light pink blooms and then fade away to await their next encore. These bulbs are tough and have naturalized in many areas of the South to become almost wild. There are numerous species and varieties in various sizes and colors that are now offered by specialty bulb companies. Try a few of these no-care blooming beauties!
