Less Lawn
LessLawn is the Web site that many of us have been looking for. Not only does it provide ways to shrink the lawn and garden more sustainably, it gives plenty of humorous but insightful information about gardening naturalistically. Definitely worth the time to wander through and come away with several ideas for your own landscape.

"No Mow" Lawn
For those trying to be more ecologically sound, especially when it comes to lawn care, the "No Mow" lawn is worth considering. It requires us to think differently about what a lawn should be because these new ecological mixes do not look like Kentucky bluegrass turf. The color is slightly lighter, the grass is slightly coarser, and the grass actually lays down instead of standing up like a burr haircut. But these lawns are beautiful in their own right. The mixes are available through the Prairie Nursery (http://prairienursery.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=11)
