20th Annual Sculpture in the Garden
Enjoy garden sculptures by various North Carolina artists at the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill from September 15 through November 16. Every year the garden displays dozens of sculptures among the plants and shrubs; this year there are 77 pieces ranging from abstract to classical to nature-inspired -- something for everyone. The botanical garden offers lectures, classes, and garden walks throughout the year. For more information on the sculptures and other events, visit: http://ncbg.unc.edu.

Donate Extra Produce
If you find yourself with extra produce this fall, consider making a donation to a local food shelf, where fresh, nutritious produce is often in short supply. If you don't know where to donate, the Garden Writer's Association may be able to help. Visit the Plant a Row Donations Web page for help in locating a nearby food shelf. Then plan to plant an extra row next spring so you can donate some of your harvest throughout the growing season.
