Midwest Fruit Explorers Harvest Festival
Have questions about growing fruit in your yard, have a problem deciding which variety to plant? Everyone is welcome to the free Midwest Fruit Explorers Harvest Festival, October 20 to 21, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Club members will show well over a hundred different varieties of locally grown apples, as well as Asian pears, paw-paws, plums, black walnuts, and more. Starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday every piece of fruit on display will be cut up for tasting.
